Building image problems

Hey Chris,
I'm currently doing a project involving modifying the TCP headers of a Linksys router. I was already having a lot of trouble building from th GPL code from the linksys website when I cam across this website. However, even though all your directions are crystal clear, I am still receiving errors. In the setup-source.sh routine, I get a couple directory errors. Then when I try to run buildtools.sh, it stops at building binutils. I'm not sure what's wrong, I'm running a fresh install of redhat and I have owner privileges.
