XPCard is an XPCOM wrapper component around the PC/SC API released under the [GNU Library General Public License|http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/library.html]. It is ideal for writing scripts accessing a smart card in your favorite language (Python, JavaScript, Ruby, ...). Possible applications include (but are not limited to) viewing and editing your phone book on your GSM SIM card, viewing the log files on your electronic purse (Geldkarte, Quick, ...).
